Cake Delivery Sydney, SMS on approach
One of our drivers recently brought up a great idea to keep customers informed re on approach cake delivery.
Currently, if customers wish to have the driver call them on approach, they request this via a written or verbal instruction while placing their order.
While this has been working well for the last few years, it's possible that the driver misses such an instruction when heading towards the customer address, as the process is not automated.
We agreed in a discussion last week that we would add to our ever growing 'to do' list to allow customers to select an 'sms on approach' option which would be picked up by our Navman system.
Once the driver begins heading toward the next address, if the order has an 'sms on approach' option attached, our IT systems will automatically send an SMS to the customer.
We love focusing on the minute details such as this to really hone our customer service - not only do we provide excellent quality cakes; our customer service and logistics systems go a long way to keeping our customers happy.
